About Spam Mails

As emails communications become more and more common nowadays, there raises a new kind of problem--
Spam Mails. First of all, we don't spam any junk mail, and so, if you ever received suspicious emails that the
names of  "from" or "reply" are @ksc.com.hk but the content did not related to any part of our business,
please notify us with all the detail of email headers which is useful for tracing the origin of email and the
spammer. Usually, spammers may use different names before the domain name, eg, 01abc92@yourname.com
or even with different domain names as the reply address. However, if you try to reply those email addresses,
you'll probably get no response or mail undelivered message informed by the servers. The purpose of the
spammers were wishing to send massive advertisements for promotion with a link for certain web site, but
they didn't need to have any email reply. Therefore, they just tried to put all faked email addresses and
finally they're free from any trouble even if receivers tried to reply.

Some spammers may be able to write some script languages or programming to automate the email sending
process with changing or varying email names. This kind of programming is not really too difficult, but the
most difficult part is that the spammers want to hide their identities completely. Actually this point will be
most concerned by them because any smtp servers or relay machines will try to put the IP address onto the mail
header messages. In this case, some skillful spammers will try to add more faked "Received:" lines to confuse
the readers. Some more advanced spammers may forge the headers with faked server names, but please
note that the IP still can not be modified by them. That's why the email headers informations are so important
for tracing in order to find out the origin.

The first Rule---Don't try to sue any one or name appeared in the email content immediately

Why?...It's because most strange emails from spammers included faked information, sometimes they'll even
put other people's email, web site, phone number, or addresses and so those people will be the victims.
Therefore, do not trust any informations in those suspicious emails content, but still we need to keep the
copy with all the headers information that will help to trace the sender's origin. Next, the right way to do
is to find out the ISP that the spammer were using. Here are some useful links that may help to trace the
origin of the spammers:

This web page will return ISP detail by inputting spammers IP

 SamSpade.org---Another online tracing tool

Usually, the traced information will have the ISP information of address, email for complain, or phone number.
Hence, the action to take is to send an email including the spam mail headers for reporting the case to the ISP.
Do not hesitate to report those illegal behaviours by the spammers, or otherwise, the world will get more and
more ridiculous news through emails, which is the same as the result of environmental pollution.
